The apps from your phone in your car
Access your smartphone’s screen, selected apps, maps, and music through App-Connect on your car’s touchscreen and Voice Control. You can do this thanks to three innovative technologies: Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™and MirrorLink® interfaces.

A welcome wake-up call
This potentially life-saving system continually evaluates steering movements and other independent signals, and if fatigue is detected, warns the driver with an alarm, and recommends the driver take a break on the Multi-function display.

Prevent follow-on collisions
When the airbag sensors detect a collision, this state-of-the-art system applies the brakes to slow down the vehicle so that a secondary impact will be lessened or avoided. During braking, the hazard and brake lights are illuminated and remain activated. The driver can take over at any time.

Parking's a piece of cake
The standard Rear Park Distance Control emits audible warnings when obstacles are detected behind the vehicle when parking, and also provides a visual display of the vehicle’s distance from the obstacles.

See what's behind you, in front of you
Whether reversing out of a busy parking lot or trying to squeeze into a tricky spot, an extra set of eyes are always handy. The optional Rear View Camera displays a live picture on your screen that shows what’s behind you, making reversing safer and easier. (Optionally available with rear tailgate).

Uphill starts made easy
This intelligent feature allows you to make a hill start without the vehicle rolling back. If you’re on an incline greater than 5 per cent, the system will hold your car stationary for 1.5 seconds after the foot brake is released by temporarily locking the brake pressure.

Stay firmly planted to the road
Traction control helps you maintain directional stability in critical situations. It improves grip, manages wheel spin and adjusts engine power in slippery conditions. Braking control intervenes, when needed, with Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution and Brake Assist.

Turn a corner on traction
An extension of the Electronic Differential Lock function, this clever addition applies pressure to the wheel on the inside of the corner in order to help prevent wheel spin. As a result of this precise braking pressure, cornering is sportier and more accurate.
The best possible protection
The Transporter van has airbags for the driver and front passenger, as well as front side and head airbags. These front curtain airbags are available even when the front bench seat is fitted, so if something does go wrong, you'll be pleased you're in a Transporter.
A good steer on safety
Helps you stay in control of your vehicle by preventing under or over steering. If your vehicle starts to skid, the Electronic Stabilisation Programme will apply the brakes to individual wheels and adjust the engine's power output to correct the problem.

With 103kW of power and 340Nm of torque3., while this turbo-engine is undoubtedly powerful, it's also the more economical of the Transporter options.
